At the age of five I began taking art classes, and continued until graduating high school. Counselors urged me to pursue an art scholarship but I had other plans, so I declined. I did not touch a paintbrush for forty years. My ambitions resulted in my being very unhappy to the point of severe depression.

Over the last few years I began asking others, “Are you happy?” Eventually I became brave enough to ask the same of myself, of course knowing the answer to be a resounding “NO.”

Through desperation to regain the natural “happy state,” I one day in meditation asked of myself, what made me happy. The answer was immediate and profoundly earth shaking, “being in nature and ART.”

This frightened me. It in no way matched what my ambitions said I should do to find happiness. Yet, I knew I must honor this revelation, and began sitting with it.

Soon I was stirred to pick up a brush again. Instant joy followed. Over the years I had become very reserved and boring. I now found myself losing all track of time, singing and dancing! In fact I had returned to the natural “Happy” state.
~Arriving at the truth is not enough, it must be worn.

What you see before you are the joyous extensions of me, expressed since September 2016.
